2024 Season Registration Information

Registration Dates

March 1st: Returning 2023 player registration opens

March 15th: Open registration for returning and new players

June 1st: Season registration closes*

We strongly encourage interested players to register IMMEDIATELY once registration is open. *Note: Once the maximum number of players is reached for the respective age level, subsequent registrants will be waitlisted. If additional coaching staff are identified to form more teams, waitlisted players will be moved to active status. All waitlisted players will either be moved to active status or released before parents need to order uniforms, which will be in the June timeframe.

Registration Fees

2024 season registration fee (all ages): $425

New for this year, game uniforms will be ordered by parents directly from the uniform company and NOT included in the registration fee. We have reduced the season registration fee so that the combined registration fee and uniform cost is in line with 2023 season rates.

A $50 non-refundable payment will be required to complete registration, which will be applied towards the full registration fee. Below are 2024 season registration payment options:

  • Season registration fees can be paid in full at time of registration.
  • Alternatively, a payment option of $200 down (includes $50 deposit) will be available to secure registration. The balance of the registration fee will be automatically withdrawn on 6/1/2024.
Note that waitlisted players will not be charged to register. If they are activated, payment is due in full prior to the first practice.
 

New for this year, parents will purchase game uniforms directly from the vendor. All parents must purchase a new uniform. Uniforms will not be purchased by the Naperville Saints. The approximate uniform cost will be $150 which covers uniforms, pants, and helmet decals.

Uniforms

Game uniforms will be purchased by parents separately and are NOT included in the registration fee. A subsequent uniform fitting will occur on or around June 2024, at which time parents will order their players’ uniforms and pay for them in full. The approximate uniform cost will be $150 which covers uniforms, pants, helmet decals.

A credit for jersey reuse will not apply this year as all players will receive a new, updated design game uniform for the 2024 season.

Discounts

A multi-player $50 discount may be applied for parents registering more than one player for the 2024 season. After paying the full registration fee, parents may apply a $50 discount towards player registrations for additional players in the same family. For example John Smith pays the full registration fee, then his brother Adam Smith, in the same family, may receive a $50 discount on his registration fee. A discount code will be provided at a later date.

Discount codes do not apply to uniforms as they are purchased separately.

Refunds

A $50 non-refundable deposit will be due at registration checkout. Waitlisted players will not pay a deposit. Players who cancel before the first practice are eligible for a full refund. Players who cancel after the first game are not eligible for a refund. Note that game uniforms are non-refundable.

Season Dates

As of the time of this publication, the BGYFL has communicated the following 2024 season dates:
 
  • First practice: 7/29
  • Week 1 games: 8/24
  • Games WILL be held on Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends
  • Super Bowl Dates: 11/8-11/10
We know that families are eager to book vacations and coordinate other activities, so we will communicate Player’s Camp dates, high school camp dates, Jamboree, and more.

Other Info

Eligibility
The 2024 season minimum player age is 8 years old, maximum player age is 14 years old. Player age is determined by age as of 8/1/2024, not grade. Additionally, weight limits and the League “Striper” rule are still in effect for 2024. If you know of interested players who are in the lineman size and ability, please encourage them to register. See our Lineman webpage for more info - we need them!
 
Player Assignments
Please note that all players on a prior season team do not automatically roll-forward to the next season. Players will be evaluated during the first two weeks of practices and placed into the respective Gold D1, D2, or Silver levels. Read more here about player assignments HERE.

FAQ

Are uniforms purchased separately from the season registration fee? Yes
 
Can my player pick their own jersey number? Returning players can keep their existing number or request a new number. New players will be assigned a jersey number.
 
Is there a reduced registration fee for 8U players? Not at this time.
