Several tasks need doing to make this event a success, please see the accompanying sign-up genius and sign-up today! Especially important are clock operations to ensure timeliness and that games keep moving.

what is a jamboree?

A football "jamboree" is a meeting of several football teams in which each team will scrimmage against one another in order to prepare for the upcoming season. The best way to think about a jamboree is a football preseason fit into a single day.  Instead of practicing against teams over the course of a few weeks, a single day will be dedicated to several live scrimmages.

New for 2023! DuPage Valley Cheer will be at the Jamboree to provide an overview of their program and get our football community excited for the return of sideline cheer in 2023!

scrimmage details

Naperville Saints teams, across all ages, will scrimmage against each other. Arrival times are below, and more details will be provided by your coach.  Note the following:
  • Teams will scrimmage on a running 30-minute clock, with two scrimmages happening simultaneously on the same field. Each team will scrimmage three times.
  • Scores will not be kept, these are just live reps
  • Please follow your coach's arrival time instructions.
  • Wear full pads (helmet, shoulder pads, cleats), 2023 game day uniforms (if you have them). If you do not have your uniform in time, wear regular practice gear. Bring water.
  • Parents are welcome to stay for the scrimmages. Parking will be very limited. Consider parking at NCHS and/or dropping off your player off Martin Avenue (north of the turf field), with additional parking on Martin Ave.
  • Once your team has been dismissed, please do not loiter so we can have room for the next group.
  • Teams will be divided into the respective age groups and divisions (gold v siler) to pair teams up against similar competition and ability levels. Note that the team designations for the Jamboree may not be the final roster assignments, coaches are still evaluating players leading up to and the day of the Jamboree.
