Did you play for the Naperville Saints or St. Raphael youth football? If so, we have created a $2,500 college tuition scholarship for TWO Naperville Saints Alumni who continued their football career with their local high school!

Scholarship Criteria

Criteria: Former Naperville Saints Football Player, GPA of 3.25 or better, three mini essays, and two letters of recommendation by a current or prior coach and teacher.

Essay's must be completed by the applicant, not parents/guardians, and without artificial intelligence assistance. Applicants must complete ALL questions in the application. All scholarship entries including letters of recommendation must be completed by 3/31/2025. The Scholarship winners will be awarded in April 2025.

Essay Questions

All applicants must answer the questions below. Please limit each response to a maximum of 750 words per question. The Naperville Saints urge all applicants to thoroughly and thoughtfully respond to the essay questions which will play a major role in selection of the scholarship recipient. Questions, listed below, are in the Google Form HERE:

1. How did your time playing for the Naperville Saints/St. Raphael Football program prepare you for high school football?

2. What life lessons did you learn from your time playing for the Naperville Saints/St. Raphael Football program?

3. What impact would this scholarship have on your college experience?

Letters of Recommendation

An important and required aspect for scholarship qualification are the letters of recommendation from any coach or teacher at the high school that the applicant currently attends. It is required that the applicants have two letters of recommendation to meet the qualifications for this scholarship. The letters of recommendation must be provided in a digital format and emailed to stashaking83@gmail.com

2025 Scholarship Deadlines

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2025. The scholarship award will be announced in April 2025.

Scholarship Details

A one-time scholarship payment of $2,500 will be awarded to two recipients. Scholarship funds must be applied to college tuition costs for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Scholarship Selection Process

The selection process for the Naperville Saints Scholarship is a thorough review of all the applicants’ applications as well as their letters of recommendations. 

Every application will go through a two-step process. Naperville Saints Board members will review each application along with their letters of recommendation. The nominees will be narrowed down to the top three. Once the top three applicants are selected, they will be presented at a subsequent Board meeting where a final decision will be made. The Scholarship will be awarded irrespective of the applicants’ socioeconomic status. The Naperville Saints reserve the right to announce the scholarship winner on social media channels and websites.
